Winter Wellbeing Workshop

I’m so excited to be announcing my next aromatherapy workshop!

Where: Boconnoc House

When: Saturday 11th February, 10am to 12:30pm

The theme of this session will be winter wellbeing and creating rituals to naturally support ourselves during this season.

Do you suffer with low mood, sluggish energy, dry skin or frequent winter colds at this time of year?  If so, I want to say that to a certain extent this is normal. Our overall wellbeing ebbs and flows just like the seasons.  But this doesn’t mean that we cannot support ourselves to feel better.

We will begin this workshop with an introduction to aromatherapy and essential oils, discussing their specific properties and benefits.  You’ll then be guided through making your own nourishing body oil, which can be used for abhyanga self-massage, or simply as a revitalising winter skin tonic.

Abhyanga has its roots in the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda.  Essentially it is a form of self-massage done to the whole body before a shower or bath, with warm oil – which we will infuse with aromatic essential oils.  Its benefits include boosting the immune system, encouraging healthy flow of lymph and calming the nervous system.

It is a beautiful ritual to introduce into your selfcare routine, encouraging us to reconnect with our body and emotions.

The Essential Oils:

Centred around the theme of winter wellbeing, we will be working with a range of organic essential oils with properties that are antiviral, energising, restorative and uplifting.  Alongside this we will also be exploring carrier oils that nourish and help sooth winter skin.  Here’s a sneak peek at some of the therapeutic essential oils we will be working with…

Uplifting Petitgrain

Restorative Frankincense

Energising Rosemary

All ingredients and bottles will be provided along with plenty of herbal teas to sip on and a workbook to record your recipe and thoughts.
